IJSBA is pleased to confirm that the 41st annual World Championship of Personal Watercraft Racing will take place October 1-9 at Crazy Horse Campground and Resort in Lake Havasu City Arizona. IJSBA created the sport of Personal Watercraft Racing in the mid 1970s and brought forth the very first World Championship in 1982. Now, in 2022, this amazing event has been held for 42 consecutives years all on the waters of Lake Havasu. Jettrim, a local company, which is planet’s leading name in custom aftermarket padding, seats, and coverings for Personal Watercraft is the title sponsor of the event.
The IJSBA World Finals is an on the water competition of numerous divisions of Personal Watercraft. Competitors have spent the year honing their skills at various international events to become eligible to earn the top title of the year. The latest Personal Watercraft will travel at speeds upwards of 80 MPH in premiere competitions for both Stand Up and Sit Down style watercraft. The competition program also includes the popular Freestyle segment where gravity defying tricks are done with some of the greatest athleticism seen in any motorsport. Rounding out the event are divisions for kids, women, and persons who celebrate the nostalgia of the sport by competing on vintage watercraft.
The gates open for competitors to pit and stage for competition on Saturday, October 1. The first day of competition is Tuesday, October 4. Competition runs from sunrise to sunset. Admission is free. Beginning Thursday, October 5, vendors and exhibitors begin opening displays for the world trade show of all things Personal Watercraft including new watercraft, performance parts, wetsuits, apparel, accessories, and other offerings from the marine and motorsports lifestyle. Pro Racing, begins Friday, October 6 and continues through the weekend. On Saturday Night, there is an evening Freestyle competition under Lake Havasu’s famous London Bridge. The 2022 Jettrim World Finals is the must attend event for every Personal Watercraft fan.
