Franky Zapata and his Zapata Racing team have done it again. Today they released a teaser video of their new Hoverboard by ZR. This amazing new device is constructed of carbon fiber and will easily attach to any 2013 or 2014 Flyboard Quick Connects. Simply remove the Flyboard, attach the Hoverboard and off you go!

Vance of Gulf States Flyboard shared a little of the back story on the Hoverboard.
This is a project that he has been working on now for quite some time and he has finally found that happy medium between forward speed and handling. The first prototype flew at about 15mph and was relatively easy to handle. the second flew at about 35mph but was quite difficult to handle. Which brought him to the final prototype that flies about 23 mph and is still quite easy to fly and control.
Insiders are estimating that this exciting new toy will retail just under $2,000 as an attachment to your existing Flyboard equipment.The Hoverboard by ZR will bring surfing to new heights and it looks like it will see an official release in May 2014.
