Three Year Agreement for the Liberty Cup of Watercross
UWP-IJSBA National Tour in conjunction with the Town of Colonial Beach, and Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a three year agreement for the Liberty Cup of Watercross. The 2013 Liberty Cup will be held near the Municipal Pier on July 20-21, 2013.
Colonial Beach, VA was the birthplace of one of our founding fathers, George Washington, America's first and greatest hero, and crucial to the establishment of the United States as a nation founded on the principles of liberty. The town of Colonial Beach is friendly golf cart community and is located at the northern tip of Virginia's Northern Neck, and is one of the few remaining small seaport towns on the Potomac River.We have made some great friends and even more fans in Colonial Beach! Each year the crowds lining the pier have grown and with good reason; this site gives the spectators a unique view of the racing. The closed course is designed to cascade around Municipal Pier creating tight action packed turns for even the most experienced competitor. It is only here that spectators can feel like they are sitting in the middle of the course.After all the fun and sun during the day, the masses converge on Dockside Restaurant & Blue Heron Club for great food including the freshest seafood, music, drink and maybe even a bikini contest...Welcome to Colonial Beach for jumping on board with UWP-IJSBA National Tour for 2013, 2014 & 2015!For more information about UWP and watercross racing visit www.uwpinc.com.
